Blessings to these two young women as they go off to college to study nursing. They promised to use their music to help heal their future patients and themselves. Knowing them has helped to heal me.

On All Saints Day, (November 1, 2015), I sat in a circle . . . to sing a song I wrote for Carol, my partner. We met on November 1st, 2002, 13 years to the day. She passed into eternity in 2012. Not so long ago.

I am accompanied by Diane Doolittle on flute. Special thanks to Ingrid Heldt from the NJ Friends of Clearwater Song Circle in Eatontown, New Jersey. Video by Linda Phillips.

Like The Wind
(for Carol)

In my heart I'm still holding you
Like a child
It's not easy to learn to do
Without your smile
But light is falling
Gently warming
Shadows lifted from your skin
Spirit of morning
Life is calling
Now our love is
Like the wind

forever and always yours
-Sharleen
